So. This may or may not come off as slightly stalkerish and/or weird, but I'll take my chances.
Your comment on my Hogwarts is home sorting app made me grin like an idiot (talk about a fantastic compliment). I decided to come poke around your profile, because the internet is a surprisingly empty, devoid-of-entertainment place in the middle of a Sunday night, and you seem pretty damn amazing.
Hi there. I'm Megan (Meg or Meggy to my friends, Meggles or Meggums to people who want to have a hand bitten off). I enjoy long walks on the beach, ancient typewriters, chocolate, and bad jokes and I don't have nearly enough Gryffindors in my life
In my completely biased opinion, we should be friends. :)
This is one of the nicest comments I've gotten in a long time!
I'm glad my comment made you smile so much! Your app was an absolute joy to read - it isn't every day we get such a clear-cut, coherent Slytherin, and I think you're just that. :)
Hello! I'm Jay! (Among a multitude of other names, including Panth, Halo, Booty...and whatever else seems to strike my friends' fancy.) Long walks on the beach, chocolate and bad jokes are wonderful. I'm not so hot on typewriters. Fragile things tend to break themselves around me. I like racing cars, though. Those are totally equivalent to typewriters, right? &I don't have nearly enough Slytherins!
This could be the start of something beautiful ;) :P
I really am happy that you enjoyed it so much. After I submitted my app, I went around to all the house community pages and read the descriptions of each that are posted there - reading the Slytherin ones was practically like reading a biography, but since a lot of my snake tendencies are more on the subtle side, I was worried that I'd be sorted into another House. When I got your vote, Ravenclaw had a six-point lead, and you put a huge smile on my face. :)
Hi there, Jay! Friends are such evil creatures when it comes to nicknames, aren't they? I'm like you - I seem to have a force field around me that destroys anything delicate that I come within a 5 foot radius of - but the typewriter in question is a solid metal Royal behemoth that dates back to the late 1920s (both of my grandfathers used it before passing it on to me). The thing is practically indestructable.
Dude. Racing cars are so equivalent to typewriters. Once every few months, I go on a road trip to San Francisco, and the people I go to visit and I always end up watching F1 and/or any other race we can get our eyes on into the wee hours of the morning. I don't know much about racing cars, but I love watching them.
You don't have enough Slytherins? Poor thing. I'll have to do what I can to fill that snake-shaped void in your life.
What do you mean "could be". This is the start of something beautiful. :)
